Obama's Job Approval Drops Below Carter's

President Obama's slow ride down Gallup's daily presidential job approval index has finally passed below Jimmy Carter, earning Obama the worst job approval rating of any president at this stage of his term in modern political history.

-- Harry S. Truman: 54 percent.

-- Dwight Eisenhower: 78 percent.

-- Lyndon B. Johnson: 44 percent.

-- Richard M. Nixon: 50 percent.

-- Jimmy Carter: 51 percent.

-- Ronald Reagan: 54 percent.

-- George H.W. Bush: 52 percent.

-- Bill Clinton: 51 percent.

-- George W. Bush: 55 percent.

-- Barack Obama: 43 percent.

Many pundits feel that a president should be higher than 47 percent to win re-election.

Obama's troubles have revived talk in Democratic circles that Vice President Joe Biden should be replaced by the politically popular Hillary Clinton. She plans to leave as secretary of state at the end of Obama's term no matter what happens in the re-election.

Amazing Video: Sarah Palin on LSD!

Amazing pictures from Switzerland show where "jetman" Yves Rossy gave this incredible flying display, using a tailor-made jet pack. The aviation enthusiast leapt from a helicopter and performed a series of aerial acrobatics above the Alps. He then joined two jet planes in a synchronized flight. To synchronise their flight paths the jets reduced their speed to 220 kilometres per hour (137 miles per hour), which put their engines at a point close to stalling. Rossy's previous aerial feats include flying the English Channel and looping the loop around a hot-air balloon.

Free Bradley Manning

Army Private Bradley Manning, accused of leaking a massive trove of U.S. government secrets to WikiLeaks, will have his first day in court next month December 19 as he attends a military hearing that will determine if he should be court-martialed. It will be the first public appearance for the former Army intelligence analyst since he was detained almost a year and a half ago on suspicion of having passed hundreds of thousands of State Department cables and other classified information to the website.

The most serious of the charges Manning faces is "aiding the enemy," which is a capital offense, but Army prosecutors told Manning's attorneys when they filed the charges in March that they would not be seeking the death penalty for the charge. If he is found guilty, Manning could face life in prison.

Obama Will Beat Romney Easily

Obama starts with a rock-solid 43 to 44 percent of the vote and that the focus of the next 11 months is almost certain to be on improving his numbers among independents in states such as Colorado, Florida and Wisconsin.

“Is the president’s base upset? You bet, but they aren’t upset at Obama,” said Cornell Belcher, who conducts polling for the Democratic National Committee. “They are in fact sympathetic to what Obama is trying to do and what he is going through.”

And Hart wrote in his year-out memo: “His base will be invaluable, and this has been underestimated. It should not be.”

Egypt: This is What Democracy Looks Like

Fox News Viewers Know Less Than People Who Don’t Watch Any News: Study

Fox News Viewers
The poll surveyed New Jersey residents about the uprisings in Egypt and the Middle East, and where they get their news sources. The study, which controlled for demographic factors like education and partisanship, found that "people who watch Fox News are 18-points less likely to know that Egyptians overthrew their government" and "6-points less likely to know that Syrians have not yet overthrown their government" compared to those who watch no news.

This isn't the first study that has found that Fox News viewers more misinformed in comparison to others. Last year, a study from the University of Maryland found that Fox News viewers were more likely to believe false information about politics.

Republican Mass Hysteria in the Age of Obama! How to Protect Yourself.

Taylor Garrett

You may remember back in October of 2008, a month before the Presidential election, when a 20 year old woman named Ashley Todd claimed she had been robbed of $60 when a man became angry when he saw a McCain bumper sticker on the victim's car. The attacker then punched and kicked the victim, before using the knife to scratch the letter "B" into her face, claimed Ms. Todd.

Turned out to be false.

Now another Republican has come forward and claimed that a similar attack occured on him because he is a Republican and because of his association with the the right wing columist Ann Coulter.

Ashley Todd - Stage Name

As you may have heard, Taylor Garrett, the gay Republican cast member from The A-List Dallas, claims he was assaulted on Friday night in Dallas by someone who carved “Fuck Coulter” into the side of his vehicle.

This marks the second time in six weeks Garrett has reported being targeted for his association with conservative commentator Ann Coulter and for being a gay Republican. Last month, Garrett alleged that a rock with a threatening note attached was thrown at the window of his Dallas Design District apartment. Some bloggers have alleged that Garrett falsified the report about the rock as a publicity stunt in advance of the premiere of The A-List Dallas.

And when you think it can get any worse American Idol host and lead singer of 70's rock band Aerosmith Steven Tyler now claims the same thing happened to him.

Recall Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin

It's been over two years since Scott Walker stepped into the spotlight and started laying out his Koch-funded, pro-corporate agenda. The list of Walker's failures seems endliess: from his early failure to report information on $500,000 worth of his top campaign contributors, to spending 20 minutes on the phone with who he thought was billionaire David Koch talking about stripping away the rights of 175,000 Wisconsin workers, to his most recent decision to cut 65,000 of our state's most vulnerable residents - including 29,000 children -- off health care.

Herman Cain Has A Rick Perry Moment!

Chelsea Clinton Hired to Report for NBC

Given their propensity for the unintelligent, Republicans were hoping that instead of Chelsea Clinton that NBC Nightly News picked either Jenna Bush or Bristol Palin to receive this job. I know I know, the MSM would never let this happen!

Damn the media's left-wing bias!

Send In The Clowns!

According to David Remnick of The New Yorker, "Sometime in the future, when a twenty-first century Gibbon searches for a moment to use as a starting point for a chronicle of American decline, he or she might want to alight on those ambitious members of the Republican Party who have put themselves forward as candidates for President to revive a fallen nation and lead the march down Nostalgia Avenue and up to the City on a Hill."

Obama by the Numbers

Today, according to Gallup's latest Presidential Approval Poll 43% approve while 49% disapprove. According to Rasmussen's latest Presidential Approval Poll 50% approve while 49% disapprove (not a typo).

According to Gallup's November 10th polling which asks if the election were held today Obama beats Generic Republican 43% to 42%.  According to Rasmussen Obama losses to Generic Republican 42% to 46%.

And for the first time in nearly two-and-a-half years, according to Ramussen, Democrats and Republicans are tied on the Generic Congressional Ballot 41% to 41%.
