The senate has voted to end the debate on the tax cut extension, moving it to the floor for vote. It is estimated that it will pass by Tuesday or Wednesday. Pity that senate Democrats didn't hold their ground, and caved for the measly added provisions negotiated by Obama.
It has been estimated that the continued cut will add $893billion to the deficit, the Bush tax cut part of the deal adding $400 billion alone. While our country is hemorrhaging be pleased to know that it was because the extra year of unemployment benefits, teacher tax credits, and renewable energy grant program were too much for senate Democrats to pass up.
