Searching the internet for any information I could glean about the shooter, Jared Lee Loughner, he seems to be someone who has gone off the deep end. On a website for song lyrics that has now been pulled, he left the following message using the same user name as on youtube which can be found after the page break.
Among his concerns is the use of double meaning grammar and an emphasis on a new currency being formed. It seems as though his motivation is that of delusion, and not political.
