Possible recovery of Amelia Earhart's remains

There is speculation that bone fragments found on a South Pacific island could belong to lost female aviator, Amelia Earhart. Additional items found on the island include a woman's compact, a small bottle, and a broken pocket knife, all circa the 1930's.

Scientists hope to recover DNA from the bone chips to verify their claims. The results of any testing won't be available for several weeks. If tests are positive the 73 year old mystery of her fate will have finally been solved.
